NAGPUR RATAN AWARD to Dr Laxmi Shrikhande
Central India’s leading infertility specialist Dr. Laxmi Shrikhande was conferred with the Nagpur Ratna Award at the hands of Union Minister of Highways and MSME Nitin Gadkari in Nagpur.
The award was instituted by the Indian Institute of yoga and naturopathy. Dr. Shrikhande was honored for her explanatory work in the field of woman health, infertility treatment, her dedication, commitment, support and valued contribution in the field of women’s health.
Director of Nagpur’s leading infertility center, Dr. Shrikhande is instrumental in bringing happiness in the lives of thousands of childless couples so far. Through various public platforms and events, She has sensitized 1,200 school teachers and more than 15,000 school girls on various issues related to adolescent health like menstrual hygiene, diet, and exercise.
It has been Dr. Shrikhande’s passion to create awareness about women’s health as they are the backbone of a healthy society. She also conducts health awareness programs for women. More than 12,000 women in their forties and fifties were made aware about cancer prevention, how to take care of their bones and heart during such events. She also arranged BMD camp free of cost for all women.
