Where Women Break, and Follow, the Rules of Pregnancy
It‘s a great news that you are pregnant and along with all the wishes and greetings, there comes a long list of Do’s and Don’t while you are pregnant. Sometimes this can be cruel especially when you are craving for something and you are not supposed to do it or have it. But then there are ideal women who follow the Do’s and don’ts all through the nine months of their pregnancy, but some are brave enough to break the rules.
Having Nitrates
Pregnancy can have some major cravings, some people long for having processed meat, leafy vegetables, beets, cabbage and fennels that are rich in nitrates which is not advisable, but they just have it and comfort themselves by saying it is ok to have it occasionally
Having Soda
Some people like drinking soda but it is not recommended during pregnancy. As soda has ingredients like saccharin and aspartame which is not advisable while carrying a child. Definitely, it is wrong but sometimes women think it is so right to grab that can.
Stomach sleeping
It is advised that you don’t sleep on your stomach while during pregnant. But some women are so used to doing this that they just don’t get sleep unless they lie on their stomach, so they break this rule during the initial stages of their pregnancy convincing themselves that taking rest is more important than following the rules
Not exercising
Most women these days work long hours sitting at the computer, and it is not possible to take frequent breaks while working, they also very well understand that sitting continuously does not have proper blood circulation needed while pregnant. But they say that while working it is difficult to get off your seat.
Apart from these bad things that most women have been following occasionally, many don’t take risk with the things that are important
Having a Scheduled Ultrasound
Many women think that having an ultrasound can cause some kind of harm to their growing child, they feel it might affect some of the organs, but there is no such evidence that has caused such an uncertainty. But ensure that a qualified doctor is conducting one. It is basically conducted to check that the baby is growing fine and the pregnancy is safe.
Focus on a balanced diet and also take prenatal vitamins
Instead of matching the very specific guidelines for nutrient intake each day, women should just concentrate on adding a variety of foods in their diet like vitamin and minerals; also ensure that you are having enough of fats protein and carbohydrates in the form of cheese, whole milk, eggs seafood and grains. You should have loads of fruits like apples, bananas, oranges, watermelon and grapes.
Never miss on the prescribed medicines/vitamins
While some women are ok with breaking some rules, but when it comes to taking the right kind of medication prescribed by the doctor they should not take any chances and miss the daily doses as directed.
Don’t miss on the necessary vaccination
Vaccination during pregnancy is an easy and helpful way to protect the mother and baby from some infections. The immunological alterations that happen during pregnancy which may be exposed to certain infectious diseases that raise the risk of some serious outcomes. Vaccination of pregnant women not only protects the mother against vaccine-preventable infections, but this also protects the baby from getting any infection.
Most of the mothers are quite concerned about themselves and the growing baby they might tend to miss out on certain things but when it comes to the most important issues no one wants to take a chance. The basic idea is you need to enjoy this wonderful moment in a lifetime rather than worrying too much.
